All chair yoga classes are held at the San Marcos Senior Activity Center located at 111 Richmar Ave, San Marcos, CA 92069. On your first class you can try it out for free and then pay a $32 monthly membership at the center. For more information or payments please call (760) 744-5535.

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual discipline originating in ancient India. In this class, we will cover a lot of breath work and meditation techniques.
You will be mostly seated in a safe position on the chair, protecting your knees, hips and other parts of your body. In the seated position you will still experience benefits that yoga has to offer.
This class is designed to help you calm down your thoughts, heal physical and emotional pains you might have gathered over the years and find your inner peace.
You will be led through meditation, mantras, and specific poses and postures of breathing techniques, each of which has exact physical benefit. Kundalini yoga describes these techniques in detail. It is perfect for people with breathing difficulties, in this case, you will more likely experience huge improvement.
There is plenty of scientific evidence of the amazing benefits of the yoga meditation techniques. Studies on Indian yogis and Buddhist monks proved that meditation produces long-lasting transformations in the brain mostly in areas involved in conscious perception, memory, attention, and learning.
The chair will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing, socks, and make sure you are hydrated before and after your class.
